Privacy Policy

Effective: August 23, 2026. Last updated: September 24, 2026.

1. Information You Provide

When you use WaffleBerry, you may provide account information such as your name, email address, password, and account preferences. You may also choose to submit memories, stories, messages, recordings, and other content. Please avoid submitting information that you do not have the right or permission to share.

2. Google Sign-In

If you choose Google Sign-In, WaffleBerry receives your verified Google email address, your Google account display or name information when available, and Google's stable account identifier (sub). WaffleBerry uses this information only to authenticate you, create or link your WaffleBerry account, and maintain your account identity.

WaffleBerry does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Contacts, or other Google account services. WaffleBerry does not store Google access tokens or Google refresh tokens.

3. How WaffleBerry Uses Information

We use information to operate WaffleBerry, authenticate accounts, provide requested features, preserve and retrieve user-submitted memories and stories, maintain service security, diagnose problems, and improve the user experience. User-created content may be processed to provide WaffleBerry's memory, legacy, and artificial intelligence features.

4. AI and Service Providers

WaffleBerry may send information needed for a requested feature to service providers that help operate the product, including providers supporting artificial intelligence, hosting, authentication, email, and related infrastructure. These providers process information for the purpose of delivering those services. AI-generated output may be incomplete or inaccurate, so avoid relying on it for professional or emergency advice.

5. Sessions and Technical Information

WaffleBerry uses cookies or browser storage needed to keep you signed in and maintain your session. The service and its infrastructure may also process basic technical information, such as request, device, browser, and error information, to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the product.

6. Sharing and Disclosure

WaffleBerry does not provide Google Sign-In data to access other Google services. Information may be shared with service providers as needed to operate WaffleBerry, or disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users, investigate abuse, or protect the security and rights of WaffleBerry and others.

7. Security

WaffleBerry uses reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security, and users should protect their account credentials and sign out on shared devices.

8. Your Choices and Account Deletion

You can choose what memories, stories, and other content to submit and whether to use Google Sign-In or email and password authentication. To permanently delete your account, open Account settings → Account → Delete account, review the warning, verify your identity again and confirm. You can also request deletion without the app through our account deletion page or by emailing waffleberry.app@gmail.com. Support must verify ownership before starting deletion.

Deletion removes your account information, sign-in credentials, preferences, owned Legacies and their memories, revisions, personality, timeline, stories, conversations, media and preserved-voice data. Your private conversations, uploads, generated speech and permissions in shared Legacies are removed. Canonical memories and stories contributed to another owner's Legacy remain with that Legacy, with your account links removed.

Access ends when a request is accepted. Private-file erasure is asynchronous and retries if services are unavailable. We aim to complete active-product deletion within 24 hours after accepting a verified request; service failures can delay cleanup. Contact us for an update. Minimal technical progress information is retained until cleanup finishes, and a minimal deletion record remains to prevent restoration of deleted data. That record contains no email, password, memories or recordings. Managed backups expire automatically, with a maximum retention of 30 days from capture. Deletion records must be reapplied before a backup returns to active use and remain while restorable backups or unfinished cleanup obligations exist. We do not promise instant erasure.

9. Changes and Contact

We may update this policy as WaffleBerry changes. The effective and last-updated date above will identify the current version. For privacy questions or requests, contact waffleberry.app@gmail.com.
